Gearing up for post-secondary studies? Wondering how you’re going to fund your education? Scholarships and awards are here to help.

We know getting an education is a big investment, and that’s why we offer KPU students nearly 2 million dollars in scholarships and awards every year, with $250,000 reserved for students who are enrolling at the university for the first time. Curious about what’s available? Review the online awards guide for details about eligibility, deadlines, and award values.

KPU requires you to submit only one application for most of the scholarships and awards you meet the requirements for. The majority of awards have minimum GPA requirements and the selection committee may also look at your level of community involvement, volunteer and work experience, and any leadership activities you participate in.

Stay organized and apply early. While it is not always required, it’s a good idea to include supporting documentation, like reference letters, with your application. Be sure to back up your files, make copies of everything, and keep track of important deadlines to increase your chances of having a successful application.

Our best advice? Apply, apply, and apply again. Reapply for scholarships and awards every year and continue to stay involved, on and off campus. Volunteer for events like open house or orientation, join a student club, or get involved in fitness and recreation activities like intramural leagues. The more involved you are with the university community, the better your awards application will look and the more fun you’ll have in the meantime!
