Centennial College offers unique scholarships and awards for international students!

Alexander Schuhwerk, Aviation Technician - Aircraft Maintenance student from Germany was among the 20 “International Student Academic Performance Scholarship” winners that Centennial College awarded for the highest GPA’s in each academic school in 2015. Schuhwerk attributes his academic success to the support received from his family back home, friends made in Canada, as well as teachers and international advisors at Centennial College. He advises international students to adapt to life in Canada by networking.

“If you want to succeed in the future, you have to network with as many people as possible, because your grades can only go so far,” Schuhwerk says in our Student Awards Night Interviews.

Centennial’s joint Master in International Business Development (MAIB) program is the only Centennial College program that offers entrance scholarships. Available MAIB funding includes five scholarships of €7.600,00; five scholarships of €5.000,00; and five scholarships of $2,500 CAD. MAIB is a one of a kind international learning opportunity. Students study for one semester in Italy, India, and Canada! The program also offers students the opportunity to complete an internship at a Canadian company and apply for a Canadian Post-Graduation Work Permit.

“It’s been a life changing experience for me… I would say if you are ready, if you want to do something different from what other people are doing, and get knowledge about different cultures, I recommend MAIB” says Aby Austin John, MAIB student from India. For more student testimonies, watch MAIB Interviews with HappySchools Blog.

International students are also eligible for Centennial College bursaries to participate in Global Experience Opportunities (GEO). In 2015, Centennial students received funding for International internships in Costa Rica, South Africa, Peru, China, South Korea; Language & Culture programs in Italy, Chile, Spain, Finland; and Global Citizenship & Equity Learning Experiences (GCELE’S) in Cuba, Nicaragua, Guatemala, China, Prince Edward Island (PEI), Yukon, and India.
