Countless Opportunities to Get Involved on Campus!

Students at the University of Prince Edward Island have endless opportunity for campus involvement! UPEI offers a large array of staff and student run services, businesses, clubs, and activities. This, on top of the thriving, diverse city-life in UPEI’s host city of Charlottetown, PEI, puts UPEI second-to-none in student life and student experience!

From day one, international students have the opportunity to make new friends and experience the local culture through the International Buddy Program. This program matches upper-year students with incoming international students to learn about and adjust to local culture. Participants in this program also benefit from group outings to events and activities in Charlottetown and around PEI.

Clubs and Societies on the UPEI campus are also an extremely popular way to get involved. With over sixty officially ratified student-run Clubs and Societies (several of which, like the Chinese Knot Society and the Society for International Students, are specifically geared toward international students), students have the option to join groups of like-minded individuals. Clubs range from department-specific (like the Biology Society and the History Society) to special-interest groups (like the Fortnights Improv Club or the Rainbow Alliance). If sports and athletics is more your thing, UPEI also offers an array of opportunities in the department of Athletics.
