Pursuing higher education in general can be a big investment no matter where you choose to go. But if you’re planning on studying in a different country? There’s definitely a lot more to consider.

The University of Waterloo offers a variety of financial support options to help you fund your education in the form of scholarships, bursaries, and work opportunities.

Most entrance scholarships are based on academic performance and you will be automatically considered for most of these scholarships once you apply to Waterloo. There are several international student scholarships valued at $10,000 CAD each.

For programs such as Mathematics, Computer Science, and Accounting and Financial Management however, you are required to submit additional documents.

With the largest co-op program in Canada, you’ll have the opportunity to earn between $45,000 and $85,000 CAD and gain up to 2 years of related work experience. If you’re not in co-op, you can apply to jobs through our international work-study program and earn up to $1,500 per term while working a maximum of 10 hours per week on campus.

For other sources of scholarships and financial aid, be sure to keep an eye on websites such as ScholarshipsCanada as they often post many different types of scholarships!
