Requirements for Canadian Students
Admission to college programs is generally on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that all admission requirements have been met. This means that applicants for college programs are admitted in the order of the dates they have submitted the required documentation showing completion of the program prerequisites and any other requirements established for the program of their choice. A number of programs require pre-admission interviews. Some of our programs are on a continuous intake basis. Early application for all programs is strongly recommended. Visit COTR's admissions website www.cotr.bc.ca/admissions for more information.
Requirements for International Students
International students must be 18 years or older to attend the College of the Rockies. Mature students are welcome. International students must complete an International Student Application online from the international section of our website. There is no application fee, but a $100.00 tuition deposit is required. If accepted, students will receive a letter of admission/acceptance from the Registrar. All admissions are subject to students arriving in Cranbrook no later than two weeks after the start of classes each semester. In addition, international students must complete an English Language Assessment before being placed in a program and may be required to take the English Language Training program to fulfill English competency requirements if English is not their first language and no TOEFL or IELTS score is provided.

2. Registration: In accordance with the instructions contained in the registration notice received in the mail, students register in the courses they wish to take and pay their fees.
Procedure for International Students
In general, there is no application deadline. However, students are encouraged to apply early if a Canada study permit is required, as this process can take time. As well, admission to many programs and courses are on a first-come, first-served basis.
