Red Deer College is planning a Centre for Regional Sport and Wellness, which will open within the next three years. This initiative proposes a new three court gymnasium, and open span fieldhouse, fitness facilities, and an Olympic Ice Centre.
Activities
Fitness, intramural, and athletic facilities are available to students. Red Deer College competes in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference in hockey, volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, golf, swimming, and cross country running.

Information Technology
A state of the art Library Information Common opened in 2002. The Red Deer College Library ensures access to the universe of information and technology. It is a learning centre providing a networked environment and a core collection of over 130,000 items. The library is a member of NEOS, a central Alberta library consortium.

The Student Support Centre is a user friendly support area built with the College’s values as a cornerstone. The Centre combines a variety of services and assistance, which new and continuing students may require.
International Involvement
Due to the globalization of the economy, local entrepreneurs are attempting to enter the world marketplace. As a part of our community training and development mandate, Red Deer College intends to offer practical assistance to these regional businesses in their international marketing initiatives. This mandate has expanded to include international education.
Red Deer College's entrance into the international marketplace may include such things as offering programs, courses, curriculum development, and other expertise in foreign countries, recruiting international students, and developing international links. Red Deer College students have the opportunity to participate in exchange programs in the United States, Mexico, Kenya, the United Kingdom and other countries. Students can experience a new culture and have the opportunity to study anthropology, native language (Spanish), and history at our campuses in Mexico and Kenya.
