If you want to understand the world we live in then Sociology is for you. Sociology is the scientific study of society. Sociology looks at how social forces shape our lives and behaviour. As a student of Sociology, you'll develop a sociological perspective or way of thinking about the world that provides an understanding of social behaviour as well as the society and world we live in.
The School of Arts and Science offers a range of courses transferable to one or more of BC’s universities. With university–level academic courses offered in a wide range of areas, you’ll be able to complete up to two years of your subsequent university program at Camosun; the University Transfer courses can also lead you to an Associate Degree.
