To make good environmental policy, we need people who understand science and economics, and who can apply this knowledge appropriately to environmental issues. The Environmental Economics and Policy major prepares you to answer questions about what makes good environmental policy. You will be able to use your skills to solve environmental problems that depend on the integration of scientific and economic realities. How we should manage our natural resources such as fish and trees, and how we can stop polluters from polluting our lakes are examples of issues which environmental economists address.
Completion of this program may lead to environmental policy analysis, environmental economics consulting, natural resources policy analysis, and environmental impact assessment.
