Sociology is the study of society, including human groups as small as the family and as large as the population of North America. Sociologists attempt to understand social interaction and the principles by which society is organized. We offer you a comprehensive program of courses, covering such subjects as age, class, ethnicity, religion and gender, criminality, education, work, social change, and politics, and provide you with opportunities to focus your studies in any of several different areas. You'll develop marketable skills in survey methodology and analysis, and in observational field study methods.
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
