Are you curious about current affairs? Are you intrigued by the news? The Department of Journalism combines theory and practice in helping students to become knowledgeable and versatile journalists in print, radio, television and online media. Production workshops emphasize real-life assignments and newsroom standards are universally applied. Lectures and seminars analyse the social and political contexts in which journalism is practised.
This Major is available to students with either a declared major or minor in another subject, this program provides students with an introduction to all aspects of journalism, then asks students to choose either a textual or audiovisual option in years two and three.

Grade 12 English
Quebec CEGEPS applicants must have completion of a two-year pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales). For students from other provinces, Concordia requires a high school diploma and between four and five Grade 12 subjects.
