| Description: |
Greece and Rome are the twin areas of interest in Classical Studies: The Greek love affair with life; the quest for ideals of beauty, truth, and justice. The Roman sense of destiny and imperial greatness; the unceasing struggle against the forces of barbarism. You will explore the social, political, artistic, and religious aspects of the ancient Mediterranean world. Direct contact with the great ideas and achievements of distant but enduring cultures enlightens our students in the choice of their own roles in an ever more confusing world.
