Are you curious about current affairs? Are you intrigued by the news? The Department of Journalism combines theory and practice in helping students to become knowledgeable and versatile journalists in print, radio, television and online media. Production workshops emphasize real-life assignments and newsroom standards are universally applied. Lectures and seminars analyse the social and political contexts in which journalism is practised. This program provides a solid foundation in all journalistic formats, but places a heavier emphasis on producing text for publication in newspapers, magazines or online.

Grade 12 English
Quebec CEGEPS applicants must have completion of a two-year pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales). For students from other provinces, Concordia requires a high school diploma and between four and five Grade 12 subjects.
