Western UniversityYeah, you’ve heard that the best way to get the most out of your university experience is to get involved. Western makes it easy to get out of the classroom with any one of almost 200 different clubs, everything from Amnesty International, Free the Children, Inner Tube Water Polo to Hip Hop and Yoga. If you can’t find your favourite interest during the annual Clubs Week showcase in September, be a leader and launch one! University Students’ Council Clubs and Associations will show you how – www.usc.uwo.ca/westernclubs.

Western students get involved off campus too with community service learning as part of the Western Serves initiative. This fall international student Haozhe Chen joined a ReForest London project and went from tree-planting novice to green thumb as member of a team that broke records by planting over 70 trees in one day.

You’ve also heard the traditional advice about “keeping a healthy mind in a healthy body.” At Western your fees include membership to a state-of-the-art fitness centre with over 200 weight and cardio machines, 50 metre pool, racquet sport courts, five gymnasiums, and fitness classes – all part of our beautiful community campus. Everyone from elite to recreational athletes can find the right way to get their heart rate going.

Last, but not least, how many times have you heard “Get a good night’s sleep before exam day”? At the end of your busy curricular and extra-curricular day, you’ll be happy you’re only minutes away from your room in the best student residences in Canada. In fact, students have rated Western’s nine – soon to be ten – residences number one in The Globe and Mail’s student satisfaction survey for eleven consecutive years.

Like this combo of study, service, rest and play? Make your way to Western and follow your passion.
