Top Three Reasons to Love Your Life at Concordia

Concordia University

1/ Concordia’s classrooms stand side-by-side with the city – and the city is awesome

Our downtown campus is in the heart of Montreal, an exciting, world-class city. “Quartier Concordia” is teeming with art galleries, museums, restaurants and pubs. The jewel of Montreal, Mount Royal, is in our backyard, offering snowshoeing, skating and cross-country skiing in winter, and a cool, leafy oasis in summer, with amazing views of the city.

2/ An incredible energy permeates this vibrant student city

Montreal is one of the top ten cities in the world for students, and the best in Canada, in part because we have the most students per capita of any city in North America. And that’s part of the dynamic buzz of this place. “It’s not standing still, this city,” says CaterinaMonda, a Concordia Art History major from Italy via New York City. “Students who come here are blown away.” There’s so much going on here, you have to be careful not to get carried away: Osheaga, Igloofest, JazzFest, Just for Laughs, the Formula One Grand Prix...

3/ The world is at Concordia

Twelve percent of our nearly 50,000 students are international! We have a dedicated International Student Office that makes the transition to Concordia as easy as possible. Our Concordia International Students Association is a strong, close-knit, very active group, and they've planned a road trip to Boston, a winterlude in Cuba, and skiing in the Laurentians so far this year.

There are opportunities to get involved on campus too, like working in our community greenhouse. We also have great athletics and recreation facilities and programs. You could try roller hockey, or Ballet Workout. We even have a golf driving range! And you can watch our varsity athletes, the Concordia Stingers, compete for glory at the Stinger Dome.
