Choosing A School? Grenfell Can Help You With That!

Save

You have one thing on your mind- find the career that challenges, excites and sustains you. No easy task. The career choices are limitless, and the paths to those destinations are varied.

Learn about your career

Volunteer. Chat with people who work in that career. Talk to your career counselor about the viability of your desired career. Evaluate the information. Once you’ve determined that it’s right for you, establish the best route to get you into that career.

Research schools

Again, you may find yourself overwhelmed with the choices available in your province, country and around the world. How do the university’s faculty, libraries and resources stack up? Consider cost. How will you finance your education? What school offers the best value? Compare costs of tuition, housing and books and supplies. Is staying closer to home a good option, or do you wish to explore a new part of the world?

Visit campus

It’s difficult to imagine yourself in a school by only scanning catalogues or visiting web pages. Contact the Office of Student Recruitment to arrange a guided tour. You can sit in on a class, meet your professor or check out a residence room. Have lunch in the food court. Take a stroll around campus. Imagine yourself there. If it fits, you’ve made the right decision.
