Applying for Admission at Concordia

It’s time to take aim – and the first step towards realizing your university goals

Now is an excellent time to start thinking about applying for admission. The deadline for international applicants is February 1.

Your first step: choose what you’d like to study. Concordia has hundreds of options across four Faculties:

  • Arts and Science
  • Engineering and Computer Science
  • Fine Arts
  • John Molson School of Business

Our programs are rated among the best in the world, with special recognition for our strengths in education, art and design, communication and media studies, accounting and finance, English literature, engineering, linguistics, and psychology.

Where do you see yourself? You’re allowed to include up to three different program choices on your application.

In general, if you’ve completed the level of education required to be admitted to a university in your home country — with good grades — you should be eligible to apply for admission to Concordia. Another important consideration: you’ll likely need to show proof that you’re proficient in English by sharing your language test scores.

The final factor is whether your chosen program specifies any special requirements for admission. Some examples of documents you could be asked to submit along with your application: a portfolio showcasing your work; a letter of intent that outlines your academic goals; or a letter of recommendation.

Once you’re ready to apply, go to concordia.ca/apply. You can expect an answer within eight weeks or so. In the meantime, track the status of your application through MyConcordia.ca under My Student Centre.
