Description:Similar to the Specialization program, a BSc Honours degree provides excellent training in one specific subject. As an Honours student you will focus on one main field of study, and must maintain a higher standard of academic achievement than those in a General or Specialization program. This is the best program if you plan to pursue a higher degree or a research or academic career.

In this program you will build a strong background in modern physics, mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, relativity, quantum mechanics, statistical physics and laboratory work. Topics in areas like laser spectroscopy, optics, electronics, nuclear physics, particle physics, stellar atmospheres, stellar interiors, field theory, condensed matter and fluid dynamics are introduced in later years of the program.
