Description:Kinesiology (also called Human Kinetics) is the study of the human body in motion. It is a very exciting, and increasingly important, growing field that offers a variety of careers and educational opportunities.

The diploma is for students who are seeking two years of University Studies course work towards a degree in Human Kinetics (Human Performance or Kinesiology) or other areas that focus on instruction and coaching, exercise science, health and fitness, leisure, and sports administration. Students may complete a diploma prior to transfer, or complete specific courses for transfer only. There are two streams to choose from: Exercise Science or Personal Training and Instruction. Completion of any one of the streams allows an individual to enter the workforce, or to transfer into a degree granting institution at third year level.

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade11 Principles of Mathematics 

Applicants must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. Physical education, or regular participation in sports/physical activity is recommended. Basic Keyboarding, email, internet research, and excel skills are required through the Diploma program.
