Description:You'll develop the background and knowledge to enter business or government in an accounting capacity. With your accounting diploma from Camosun, you can expect to be employed as an accounting technician or auditor, or in related positions in the accounting field. You can also continue to work towards your designation with the Bachelor of Business Administration.

You will gain practical skills and experience by combining your academic studies with relevant work experience in the Co-operative Education designation. You'll graduate with practical work experience and employer references. Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 

Many first year Business courses require Math as a prerequisite ( a “C” in Principles of Math 11, or Pre-calculus 11, or Foundations of Math 11, or Applications of Math 12, or MATH 137, or MATH 073; or “C+” in MATH 135 or MATH 072). Students may enter the program without Math but please note students must complete one of the Math courses listed above or successfully complete Camosun’s Math assessment in or before their first semester of study.   • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83]

Admission to all academic programs is based on meeting one of the following English proficiency levels: completion of BC English 12 with a C+ or better; overall Academic IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5; TOEFL iBT score of 83 with no score less than 20 on each level; or Camosun English assessment. You can also apply for English upgrading in order to meet your English proficiency for program admission. Academic IELTS and TOEFL iBT scores must be from within the past two years. For TOEFL we require an original document from ETS to Camosun College: Destination (DI) Code: 7527.
