Description:Management and Organizational Studies (MOS) at Huron offers you a variety of courses and modules to pursue in the areas of accounting, finance, business administration, management, organizational studies, policy and ethics. Students enrolled in MOS will complete a foundational first-year of study that includes Business, Economics, and Mathematics prior to choosing the specific MOS module they wish to pursue.

The Major in Accounting is for students who want to lay the groundwork for future accountancy studies yet pursue another subject interest. Must be combined with a second non-MOS Major in an Honors degree. The Honors Specialization and Specialization in Accounting are for students who plan a career in an accounting field after completing the Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation. The programs deliver many of the tax, audit and business law courses prescribed by Canadian accounting bodies.

  • 2 of  Grade12 Advanced Functions  or  Grade12 Calculus and Vectors  or  Grade12 Mathematics of Data Management 

Completion of six Grade 12U or M courses, including English (ENG4U) and two of the following: Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), Math of Data Management (MDM4U). Although Calculus is not required for admission, students admitted to MOS without a Calculus background may be required to take Mathematics 0110A/B in addition to 1.0 course in Mathematics at the 1000-level during first year in order to meet certain course/module requirements. Students may not apply directly to a BMOS HONORS SPECIALIZATION when they apply for admission to the University. After first year, students may apply for admission upon completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 73% on, and no grade less than 60% in, the following 3.0 principal courses: 1.0 course: Business Administration 1220E. 1.0 course: Economics 1021A/B, 1022A/B. 1.0 course from: Calculus 1000A/B, 1301A/B, 1501A/B; Mathematics 1225A/B, 1228A/B, 1229A/B, 1600A/B.
