Description:The Department of Communication offers interdisciplinary training in organizational communication and media studies that keep well in step with the evolution of social needs and the development of information and communication technologies. Combining theory and practice, the department’s courses help students to both develop critical and analytical skills, and acquire professional skills and know how. Sociology encourages you to take a critical look at society and equips you with the skills and resources to do so in an informed way. Starting with such broad themes as culture, identity, power, and globalization, the curriculum explores various aspects of society such as ethnic relations, the experiences of minority groups, and the role of women, international development, and political sociology. A French immersion stream is available with this program.
