Description:Mathematics provides the language, reasoning and analytic tools that many other disciplines use to investigate their areas. These include all the physical sciences, computer and engineering sciences, social sciences, and the biological and health sciences. A wide range of business, industrial, and government programs rely on mathematics to provide insight and analysis. Students may specialize in mathematics alone or in combinations with physics, computer science, economics, statistics, or actuarial mathematics.
