Requirements for Canadian Students

All programs require completion of senior high school for admission. Applications will be screened at a minimum 70% average for all programs. Some programs with more limited enrolment require applicants to have a minimum overall average of 75% for admission. All Applicants must have Grade 11 Academic or Advanced Mathematics, Grade 12 English, and at least two to three other Academic Grade 12 courses for admission.

Requirements for International Students

Admission requirements differ depending on the student's educational system. If applying from the British system of education, normally two General Certificate of Education "A" level examinations or equivalent, at the Grade "C" level or above are required for admission to any program. An applicant who has completed one year of study beyond GCE "O" level will be considered on an individual basis.

Students applying from the American system of education should have a "B" average and a letter of recommendation from the school principal, guidance counsellor, or a teacher is recommended.

Admission to programs is competitive and possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to Acadia University. Procedure for International Students
