DescriptionRadio isn't what it used to be. Of course, turning the radio dial will never go out of style, but with the emergence of online streaming and podcasts, a career in the radio business has never been more dynamic. If you're looking to turn your creative and communication skills into an exciting career, the Broadcasting - Radio and Media Production program will help you tune into your full potential. Through our radio courses, you'll be trained in this highly concentrated, hands-on program for careers in radio broadcasting and emerging broadcast media. In collaboration with Journalism - Broadcast students, you'll program and operate three radio stations: The Falcon, CFRL Radio, and CIXXFM 106.9 The X, Canada's first fully licensed teaching radio station equipped with the latest digital communications and production technology. Learn about on-air performance, creative writing, content creation, audio production, sales and marketing, broadcast administration, web content development, promotions and programming. You'll also learn in a live environment while performing on-air and behind-the-scenes job functions identical to those in the digital media and broadcast industry.
