DescriptionSimilar to the Specialization program, a BSc Honours degree provides excellent training in one specific subject. As an Honours student you will focus on one main field of study, and must maintain a higher standard of academic achievement than those in a General or Specialization program. This is the best program if you plan to pursue a higher degree or a research or academic career.

This area of biological sciences studies the processes that occur within all living organisms including the interactions between cells, tissues, and organs. Graduates from the Physiology and Developmental Biology program often find employment in medical research in either an academic or industrial setting, or in teaching at a secondary or postsecondary level. You might also enter a career involving research in a subfield of physiology and developmental biology, go on to study medicine or veterinary medicine, or work in a laboratory at a university or in a private industry.
