DescriptionThe International Transportation and Customs program puts you in the driver’s seat with valued expertise and knowledge to help companies effectively manage the movement of goods and services internationally in our complex global economy. This program provides you with a solid technical understanding and practical knowledge of international transportation, customs brokerage and international freight forwarding. You will have opportunities to take part in field visits to transport companies, customs brokers and international freight forwarders both domestically and internationally. You will learn from industry professionals and expert faculty, who will enhance your learning with real-life case studies and current, relevant knowledge. Upon completion of this program, you will be able to work in the field of customs brokerage within Canada and international freight forwarding around the world.

Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional co-op work term(s) in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters. In programs with limited co-op opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.
