Career Description Historians conduct research into one or more phases or aspects of past human activity and interpret and document findings. Duties May Include Conducting research in field of specialization and publishing findings in scholarly journals or books;
Providing professional consultative services to government, industry and private individuals.
Many historians are university professors of history.
