The major in Anthropology is a new program designed to specialize in social and cultural anthropology. Sociocultural anthropology provides a framework for the study of human social and cultural activity. The program will allow students to come to understand different cultures within contemporary global structures and to appreciate the dynamics of social and cultural change. The subject matter addresses issues of multiculturalism and globalization of our daily experience.
Career opportunites may lie in research, community relations, social services, museum, advocacy, and international development.
