| Description: |
Geography is the study of the processes that shape human and physical landscapes. It explains the organization of space and differences between areas through detailed studies of spatial patterns and processes. The study of Geography requires students to address research questions from a distinctly geographic perspective while drawing from a broad base of knowledge from related subject areas in the social and natural sciences.
The Honours degree in human geography allows students to specialize in one field of human geography and to conduct a research project in that field. It prepares students for graduate studies in human geography. Students interested in entering an Honours program should consult advisors in the department concerned before registering for their second year. Please see the program webpage for curriculum details.
