| Description: |
Theatre is the most immediate and social of the creative arts. In our Theatre Studies major, you will read and analyze plays, attend professional productions, study theatre history, and act and participate in technical work for frequent productions. Our program is recognized internationally for research in Canadian theatre. The University of Guelph library has Canada’s largest collection of theatre archives. Our award-winning faculty includes leading scholars, practitioners, and playwrights. Auditions are not required for entry to Theatre Studies.
Career opportunities may include acting, technical theatre, directing, playwriting, theatre administration and design, and education.
