Description: This condensed Ontario College Diploma program prepares students for entry into a wide range of careers in the transportation service industry. Through a healthy combination of theoretical and hands-on technical training, business courses, and the essential skills training that employers are looking for from their employees, students are equipped with the knowledge required for fulfilling and challenging employment in both the administrative and repair fields within the sector.

We deliver this program out of our state-of-the-art Transportation Technology Centre. Fully outfitted with new, up-to-date equipment, the Centre allows Algonquin College to teach the full range of advanced technology involved in today's motive power industry.

Admission Requirements
Prerequisites: These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  • Grade 12 English
  • Grade 12 Mathematics
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with Grade 12 English (ENG4C or equivalent), and Mathematics 12 (MAP4C or a mathematics with a similar content). Applicants may also have an Academic and Career Entrance Certificate, a General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and without a high school diploma at the start of the program).
