Our curriculum emphasizes working with culturally and socially diverse people and communities to advance the causes of human dignity, social equality, and social care. We also focus on the ways in which gender, race, and ethnic-cultural origin, class, and sexual diversity and physical and mental capacities shape the experiences of those who require social services. In your first year, the Foundations of Social Work course will help you to understand the social, political, economic, and cultural context of social welfare as an institution and social work as a profession.
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
