The study of Sociology is concerned with understanding the growth and evolution of modern society, as well as the nature of social change, social order and the role of the individual in society. Social Anthropology concentrates upon ideas of human and group identity, human nature, and the close study of human communities.
Both programs develop research skills along with the intellectual preparation necessary for graduate study or for a variety of professions, such as law, social work, journalism and medicine. This degree is available as a three- or four-year program.
