In Sociology, you will gain an understanding of basic social processes such as socialization, social exchange, deviance and conformity, social change, social justice issues, and basic social institutions such as the economy, the family, religion, and education. Sociology is one of the most popular majors in the Bachelor of Arts program and gives you the option to participate in interdisciplinary programs such as International Development and Women’s Studies.
Graduates may find career opportunities in civil/public service, health and social services, journalism, correctional work, research, international development, and teaching.
