The Department of Political Science at UBC is committed to undergraduate teaching. Its graduates have gone on to a wide variety of careers in public service, in the private sector, in the professions, communications, the media, academia, and in community activities of all kinds.
Political Science will increase your understanding of critical issues and developments that affect our lives. Examples of such issues are the nature of power, the causes of conflict, the tensions of Canadian federalism, security in the post-Cold War international system, globalization, critiques of liberal democracy, feminist analysis, democratization, and the rise of Asia. Honours and co-op options are available.
