Description:
As an Independent Studies student, you’ll be encouraged to explore a variety of interests and then gain a deeper understanding of one specific area. Your progress will develop through two phases: pre-thesis and thesis. In the pre-thesis phase, under the guidance of academic advisors, you’ll prepare the expectations and objectives of your studies. You’ll also establish the skills you need by setting goals and reporting on your progress.
In the thesis phase, you’ll research and prepare a formal thesis under the direction of faculty supervisors. Employers value the well-developed organizational skills, self-discipline, and motivation that you’ll acquire in this program.
