With a variety of programs to choose from and an opportunity to conduct original, independent research in the areas of Behavioural Ecology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Conservation Biology, Entomology, Fish Ecology, Genetics, Genomics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Ecology, Plant Biology, and Wildlife Ecology, our students can truly expand their horizons in the field of biology.

The Major program is designed for students not wishing a heavy specialization in the subject. The Major is often taken together with a Major or Minor from another department.

Admission Requirements
Prerequisites: These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  • Grade 12 English
  • 4 of: Grade 12 Calculus or Grade 12 Physics or Grade 12 Chemistry or Grade 12 Biology
  • Quebec CEGEPS applicants must have completion of a two-year pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales). For students from other provinces, Concordia requires a high school diploma and between four and five Grade 12 subjects.
