| Description: |
The Biology and Biotechnology program is designed to provide extensive training for students in both the theory and practice of biotechnology including the development of first-rate biotechnology laboratory techniques, especially focusing on DNA applications. This four-year degree program gives students the opportunity to complete an honours research project carried out utilizing state of the art applications (e.g. DNA sequencing, bioimaging, microarray, and bioinformatics technology). Currently, the biology faculty members work in the fields of developmental and population genetics, signal transduction, bioremediation, and cell cycle regulation.
