| Description: |
Nipissing's Culture and the Arts degree program is broad in scope and offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of thought, ideas, culture, and society. Students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of the social, political, and cultural conditions in which thought and expression take shape.
Graduates of the Culture and the Arts program pursue careers in a wide range of fields. They are critical thinkers and have a solid understanding of various forms of social and cultural expression. This degree is particularly applicable to careers that require a good understanding of social, political, and cultural realities. It is a strong foundation for careers in journalism, education, the civil service (notably external affairs or foreign service) and in business areas that require a knowledge of and sensitivity towards different social, political, and cultural realities.
