The Motive Power Fundamentals program provides skills for employment in motive power occupations. Through this program, students will learn how to identify basic motive power systems, inspect and test basic components, use a variety of test equipment, develop safe work habits, perform customer service functions, and apply basic communication skills and computer skills.
Holders of this certificate may work in repair and maintenance, motor vehicle and parts dealers, and transportation equipment manufacturing.
