Description: Mechanical Engineering involves the design, construction and control of machines and equipment, as well as the research and development of new processes, materials and techniques. Mechanical engineers are involved in an astounding array of fields such as internal combustion or jet engine design, vibration analysis, control engineering, production engineering, materials handling, measurements, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

This program focuses on gas dynamics, turbo machinery and propulsion, gas turbines, jet and rocket engines, internal combustion power plants, heat exchangers, solar and nuclear power generators, heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, aircraft structures, avionics, and space systems.

    Quebec CEGEPS applicants must have completion of a two-year pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales). For students from other provinces, Concordia requires a high school diploma and between four and five Grade 12 subjects.
