Description: Chemistry is the study of the elements and the compounds they form, examining how compounds interact, and what makes them react. Acadia's program offers its students a broad background, balancing experimental aspects of chemistry with theoretical explanations of the results. The Acadia Advantage program allows students to receive lecture notes electronically, enabling the majority of class time to be spent addressing chemical problems. Students obtain and interpret their results using the latest technology. Fully versed in laboratory practices and procedures, Acadia chemistry students have the opportunity to work with their professors as research assistants and may enroll in co-op, giving them hands-on experience in applied chemistry.
