| Description: |
Kinesiology is the multi-disciplinary approach to the study of human movement. This program provides students with the knowledge to understand how the human body functions, not solely as laboratory abstractions, but as complex living systems. The curriculum consists of Health and Human Performance core courses, required kinesiology courses, kinesiology electives, open electives, and science electives.
Students may focus on Ergonomics, Fitness and Lifestyle, or Coaching Science, or they may do an all-round combination of kinesiology courses, allowing for an individualized program. In some cases, students are able to obtain certification such as Certified Fitness Consultant (CFC) or Personal Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant (PFLC). Students have the option to apply for an Honours degree after their third-year of study.
