The Nursing program prepares graduates to work with individuals, families, groups and communities to promote, maintain and strengthen health. Graduates are educated to respond to the health and illness needs of people in a variety of health-care settings, including hospitals, homes, schools, business, clinics and communities. The program responds to the demands of the changing health-care system.
Students are offered the best of the academic and professional worlds through partnerships with numerous clinical and community agencies. The School of Nursing provides a flexible nursing program, with access to innovative distance technology and interactive learning methods. Nursing students work with clients who trust them to provide safe and competent care. In attempting to meet this obligation, students are asked to answer a screening question related to previous criminal offenses.
