Globalization is changing who we are and how and where we live and work. To act responsibly in this new world, it is becoming increasingly important to be able to view it globally, and to develop knowledge and skills oriented toward ecological and social sustainability. The Global Studies program examines the causes and effects of, and responses to, globalization from a multidisciplinary perspective, drawing on insights from the academic disciplines of anthropology, economics, geography, political science, and sociology.
Global Studies provides excellent preparation for further study or careers in fields such as law, journalism, international business and marketing, international economic and social development, and areas of human rights and social justice.
