| Description: |
All engineering undergraduates tackle the fundamentals in a common first year program: mechanics, graphics, electricity and magnetism, chemistry, mathematics, computer-aided design principles, and communications. For those choosing co-op, seminars are provided to assist in preparation for interviews, develop job-search skills, find appropriate placements, and define career goals. Students with a special interest in ceramics, plastics, metallurgical processing operations, and synthetic composites can choose an option in engineering materials. Knowledge of these topics addresses the need to select the material type most suited to design applications encountered by our graduates.
