The Camosun Nursing program will give you the education you need for your career as a registered nurse. You'll work through a combination of academic course work and practical experiences, providing you with a strong foundation in nursing theory and a refined awareness of the professional roles of nurses. You'll develop sensitivity to experiences of health and healing, plus acquire the skills, knowledge and values needed to work with individuals, families and communities from a health promotion perspective. Completing two years and four months at Camosun College, you'll continue the remainder of your four-year education at the University of Victoria, developing as a creative, flexible and independent practitioner. You'll learn how to work in partnership with clients and other health care providers, providing you with the competence—and confidence—needed to meet the quickly changing health care needs of our society.
