| Description: |
Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. It encompasses theories of linguistic structure in all domains: speech sounds (phonetics and phonology), words (morphology), sentences (syntax), meaning (semantics), and texts or conversations (discourse). Psycholinguistics focuses on the mental faculties involved in the perception, production, and acquisition of language (language acquisition and processing, and their disorders). Co-op Psycholinguistics is offered as a Specialist Program.
