The Industrial Design program instructs students in contemporary design processes and methodologies, specialized knowledge and information on computer-aided design, materials and manufacturing technologies, research methods and prototype development. These principles are taught in a studio-based format of lecture and assigned design projects. The Industrial design Division has fostered strong links with other University Departments resulting in many interdisciplinary and collaborative design projects. This team approach to design reflects the true nature of the design profession and has resulted in students receiving numerous international design awards.

English
High school students require English 30 and any four of: Social Studies 30, a 30 level Language other than English, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30, Mathematics 30 or Pure Mathematics 30 or Mathematics 31, Science 30, one approved Fine Arts subject.
Applicants intending to enter the BDesign Engineering Route are advised that Math 30 is required. Math 31 and Physics 30 are recommended. Applicants intending to enter the BDesign Computing Science Route are advised that Math 30 is required. Applicants intending to enter the BDesign Social Sciences route with a concentration is psychology are advised that Math 30 is a prerequisite for certain courses.
