The BCom Honors in Finance program follows the same general program of studies as the BCom with a Major in Finance. Additional required courses include the FIN Honors Essay course, one 700-level FIN course, and various MATH and STAT courses. Various streams such as Accounting, Economics or Math are possible. Please contact the Department for suggested streams.
The School of Business offers a cooperative education program for students in all Business majors and joint degree programs. Cooperative education is a strategy that combines learning in the classroom with learning on the job. Students put their academic knowledge into action through relevant work experiences of 4 or 8 months each.
There is no direct entry from high school into the Bachelor of Commerce program (BCom). Students must first complete a year of university in either the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science and take courses in English, economics, mathematics and statistics. Admission to the BCom is competitive based on performance in the required courses and a student's overall academic record.
